01 / About

Building systems that are useful, intuitive, and human.

Hi, I’m Linda Huang, a Computer Science + Education, Learning Sciences student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

My work sits at the intersection of intelligent systems and everyday human experience. I’m interested in making technology feel more understandable, supportive, and accessible — especially in mental health, education, and communication.

I’m drawn to interdisciplinary questions: the kind that connect a model to a person, a robot to an environment, or a technical idea to a classroom.

MIT Physics · supervised by Prof. Mark Vogelsberger · 2025

Early prediction of youth mental-health risk

Built an early prediction system using survey features related to sleep, stress, and social behavior. Processed datasets, trained four machine-learning models, and identified XGBoost as the strongest model across scenarios.

Evaluating language models with better questions

Tested ChatGPT-5, Gemini 2.5 Pro, ChatGLM 4.5, and DeepSeek V3 across 1,500 questions. Built a standardized SAT, A-Level, and GRE assessment dataset and designed a multi-metric evaluation system.
